The Cook Society was founded in 1968 by Sir Alec Douglas Home and Sir Robert Menzies, former Prime Ministers respectively of the UK and Australia, to provide a forum for leaders of business, government, the voluntary sector, culture, academia, and science, to develop relationships and understanding between the two countries
